Step 1: Gather the Ingredients

Your first job when it comes to making a latte with instant coffee is to gather all the ingredients you need. Here, you have to divide the work into two different parts. First, you have to get the ingredients that you need for the coffee. And then, you have to prepare the stuff for the foamed milk. For the coffee, assuredly, you will need instant coffee.

All you need is ½ tbsp. of good grade instant coffee ready for it. As you are making a latte, you might love to use sugar too. 1-2 teaspoons of sugar will do the work. The amount completely depends on your taste. Also, sugar is optional and if you don’t like it, you can avoid using it. And for making the coffee, you will need water. When it comes to learning how to make a latte at home with instant coffee, the first rule is sticking to boiling water.

However, hot water will do the work! The amount of water will be 100 ml. After gathering the ingredients for the coffee, get some milk powder for the foamed milk. 20g of power will do the job. You need some more water for the process. Get your hands on 150ml of water but make sure that you are not using boiling water. Hot water is best for the process.

Step 2: Prepare the Water

Once you are done gathering the ingredients you need for the coffee, you have to start by boiling the water, take more or less 250 ml of water. This will be a bit more than one cup. All you have to do is get your kettle and get the water to boil.

The best thing you can do is learn about the temperature of the water. Some kettles have features for adjusting the temperature. The temperature should be set at 195-205 degrees Fahrenheit. Once you are done boiling the water, you have to divide the water into two small jugs. Now keep the jugs aside and jump into the next step of using the milk powder.

Step 3: Add Water to Milk

Now that you are done with the second step, you have to go through the milk power and make use of it. First, search for a large jug. Here, you have to put the milk power inside the jug and then add water. While adding water, you have to be slow and steady.

More or less 150 ml water will be enough for this. However, make sure that you are using hot water. Add the hot water with the milk powder and then start stirring. In this case, keep in mind that your job is to stir in a way that there are no lumps at all!

Step 4: Keep Stirring

After you have stirred for a while and made sure there are no lumps, you have to get your hands on the milk foamer. Now, all you need to do is foam the milk! For this, get the wand in the milk and then start foaming. First, you have to go through the top portion of the milk. Foam the top part by keeping the wand at the perfect angle.

The perfect angle for holding the wand for foaming is about 30-40 degrees. All you have to do is eradicate the air bubbles by foaming them properly. Here, you have to provide more or less two minutes so that you can make the perfect foam for the latte. In some cases, you might not have a milk foamer. The best thing you can pick up is the electric whisk.

And if you have no electric whisk, settle for the hand whisk, that’ll work too! If you get a large mason jar and put the milk there, you can also shake the large for one minute to make the ideal foam for the latte! You will make it up anyway!

Step 5: Transfer the Foam

Once you are done with the foamed milk, you have to take it out from the mug or jug and add it inside a large mug. This mug should be extra-large for better coffee making. If you want to serve two people, you can rely on the two different mugs too! Divide the foam into the two mugs equally. After taking out the foam, there will still be a bit of foam left inside the jug. Don’t wash it away; keep it there for the next steps.

Step 6: Make the Coffee Mixture

Now that you are done with the milk foam, you have to go through the jug once again! Get your hands on the 100 ml hot water that you have already prepared and pour it inside the jug. Take the instant coffee pack and put it inside the water jug.

Here, if you like sugar, you can add the amount of sugar preferable for you. Start stirring the mixture. Certify that there are no lumps and the coffee is properly dissolved. Take the coffee mixture and transfer it into a large mug. If you prefer to make two cups of coffee, make sure you divide the coffee into two different mugs equally.

Step 7: Garnish it

You are almost done with making the latte with the instant coffee! Now, you have to get the milk foam that you have prepared and reserved before. Add the milk foam to the coffee mug. Keep in mind that after making the coffee mixture ready, you have to pour the milk foam immediately without wasting any extra time.

This method will ensure the best taste of the coffee. Now, if you love instant chocolate, you can add it on top of the foam. Sprinkle it and you are ready with the coffee! Enjoy your perfect cup of barista-style latte at home!
